H.Pylori (Breath Test)

The Urea Breath Test is a non-invasive test which detects Helicobater pylori, a bacteria that can cause gastritis, ulcers, bloating, and reflux which affect up to 50% of the population.

Definition

What is H.Pylori (Breath Test)?

H. pylori is spiral-shaped, which helps it burrow into the stomach lining to survive in the highly acidic environment of the stomach. Once established, it can cause chronic inflammation and damage, leading to various gastrointestinal issues which can alter acid levels and slow digestion.Left untreated, chronic infection can increase the risk of stomach cancer (gastric adenocarcinoma). Upon early detection, a 14-day course of eradication therapy consisting of antibiotics and proton-pump inhibitor will be prescribed to eliminate this bacteria.

HOW IT WORKS

How Does the H.Pylori (Breath Test) work?

Your Breath Test journey at Revive Clinic starts with a focused consultation, where we discuss your symptoms and medical history. On the test day, you’ll follow specific instructions—sometimes including fasting or drinking a prepared solution. You’ll then breathe into a specialized analyzer at set intervals, allowing measurement of key gases linked to your condition. The entire process is safe, simple, and completed in a comfortable clinic setting.

When results are ready, our doctors explain your readings, discuss diagnoses, and recommend proven approaches for digestive balance and symptom relief.
